Refund policy
The short version
If we got it wrong, we fix it. If the shirt simply isn't what you hoped, we're limited in what we can do, because every piece is made for you specifically.
What we'll replace or refund
Email us within 30 days of your order and we'll sort out a replacement or refund for any of these:
- We sent the wrong item, size, or color
- The item arrived damaged
- There's a defect in the printing or the garment
- The package was confirmed lost in transit, provided the shipping address was correct
We may ask for a photo. That's not us doubting you, it's how we flag production issues with our print partners so they don't repeat.
What we can't take back
Because everything is printed to order, we don't restock returns. That means we can't accept returns for:
- Ordering the wrong size when the item arrived as ordered
- Changing your mind about a design
- Items that have been worn or washed
This is the honest tradeoff of made-to-order. Nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing goes to a landfill, but it also means we can't resell a shirt that came back. Check the size guide before you order, and if you're between sizes or unsure, email us first and we'll tell you straight.
How to start a return or report a problem
Email help@smashingapparel.com with:
- Your order number
- What went wrong
- A photo, if it's a damage or defect issue
We'll reply within a day with next steps. Real people on the other end who actually want to fix it.
Refund timing
Once a refund is approved, it goes back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it usually takes 5 to 10 business days to appear.
Cancellations and changes
We print fast, which is usually good news. Once an order is in production, we can't change the size, color, address, or cancel it.
If you catch a mistake immediately after ordering, email us right away and we'll do what we can. No promises, but we'll try.
Exchanges
We don't process direct exchanges. If we sent the wrong item, we'll replace it. If you want a different size or design and the original wasn't defective, the fastest path is a new order.
